Early 1980s Case 450 Crawler Loader – Project Machine / Parts Unit
Case 450 Crawler Loader with engine that turns freely but requires repair before operation. Machine was fully operational when parked in its current covered storage location and was subsequently mothballed.
Prior to storage, the engine had developed a white-smoke issue believed to be related to the head gasket. An attempted head gasket replacement was unsuccessful and resulted in coolant entering the cylinders. The machine was able to move under its own power to its current location, but the engine and cylinder head will require repair before returning to service.
The good news is that the engine is not seized. The fan has been turned by hand and the engine still rotates freely.
Market Value for machine is $11,314 without the engine issues

Injection system functioned correctly
Starter was operational
Hydraulics worked as they should
Steering/traction components were functioning properly
